Gorana SipetiC

Gorana is a professor of Arabic language and literature. She used to work as an interpreter in some Arab countries, as well as for several embassies. By her circumstances, she succeeded in joining many humanitarian causes. She is dedicated to humanitarian actions for the care of refugees, especially children. She worked as a teacher in many schools in Serbia. She is committed to assisting people in raising the level of awareness of the benefits of education and its impact on the quality of their lives.

SiniSa TrifunoviC

Sinisa was born in 1990, in Subotica, Serbia, but lived in Stanisic before moving to Sombor. He graduated as a Media Designer in education in 2013, in Sombor where he continued to live. He is an entrepreneur and professional photographer. He fell in love with documentary photography many years ago and since then he is trying to apply it on everything he does. Capturing raw, natural, and real emotions is what he enjoys the most.

Although he mostly does weddings in documentary style, every year he tries to do at least one socially engaged photo project while capturing street photos as much as he can in the meantime. Through the years, he has cooperated with various organizations and institutions in Sombor. He is the photographer who has taken all the superb black and white pictures from the Vuk Karadzic Center on our website. He will contribute to the charity by capturing images of the difference we make to our beneficiaries in Serbia.

DR IVANA KOSTIC

Ivana earned her PhD degree from the MIT Portugal Program - Bioengineering Systems, where her work was coordinated between two labs, one in Portugal and one at Brigham and Women’s Hospital together with Boston Children’s Hospital and MIT. These joint efforts were oriented toward  developing minimally-invasive and more effective therapies for cardiac diseases. Collaboration is still active.

Her initial interest in this area was sparked by physiology studies at the University of Belgrade and an additional rich practical knowledge gained through the IAESTE internship at UFV in Viçosa, Brazil in 2008 and the first BSRT Summer School of Regenerative Medicine in Berlin, 2009. Being the Technology Transfer Associate at the Innovation Fund and MASHAV alumni, she enables the development of academic results into innovative applications in industry. She co-founded the Health Tech Lab, which was created for making an impact in the local, Serbian health-tech systems.

 

NINA GRBIC

Nina is a marketing practitioner with experience in corporate systems, creative hubs, and start-up companies, always striving for innovation and a clear visionary view of various commercial environments. An economist by training, Nina chose early to specialized in marketing and gained diverse experience in many marketing B2B and B2C areas, which helped her gain a holistic knowledge of both of these fields.

She previously did charity work in her hometown of Novi Sad for a couple of years, being involved in educational support for children, team co-ordination, and promotion activities. She believes that investing in knowledge builds a successful future. Besides marketing and charity, her great passion is the history of art which has been a driving force in the leisure area of her life.

 

ZORANA IVANOV

Zorana was born in 1975 in Pancevo, Serbia and graduated from the Medical School of Belgrade University where she specialized in Social Medicine at the Institute of Social Medicine. She participated in many projects aiming to improve general healthcare, one of them being preventive examinations for the population in Pancevo. She works at the General Hospital Pancevo as a Chief of Service for monitoring and improving the quality of healthcare and she is a coordinator of Tim Diagnosis Related Groups for the General Hospital Pancevo.

 

Zoran Kovacic

Zoran is a Serbian national. He obtained a Master’s degree in special needs education and rehabilitation at Belgrade University. He carried out numerous work experiences in schools looking after children with disabilities and helping teachers with lesson preparation. He is the author and co-author of numerous papers about early intervention, education, and life for pupils with disabilities. He works currently as a teacher at the High Medical School “Dr. Ruzica Rip” and “Vuk  Karadzic Center” in Sombor. His experience with special needs education will be a very valuable asset for the Trust.

Nenad maverick popovic

Nenad is an educator for children, focused on learning and understanding the most effective and efficient ways for personal growth and development of crucial life skills. He is  a certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) practitioner and count more than 2000+ learning hours in the fields of personal development and mental health. His dedication and knowledge on special and more general education will make Nenad an invaluable member of our Serbian Team.

BILJANA KORDIC

Biljana worked at the Transport Technical School for 25 years and at the Ministry of Education as an advisor to the Minister of Labour. She is now the President of the Board of Directors of the Center for Sustainable Development and Transport Safety, which implements numerous projects in the field of environmental protection and traffic safety, primarily with children and the elderly, migrants, etc. She has published over 20 professional papers in the field of ecology and transport safety.

She is the author of 3 accredited seminars for the Ministry of Education. With her students, she won twice the international school competition "Your Ideas, Your Initiatives" in projects relating to transport safety.

 

SINISA STRICEVIC

Sinisa has been studying journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Belgrade. During his military service in Skopje where he gained several recognitions and awards, he was a correspondent for the weekly newspaper "Za pobedu", the daily Serbian newspaper "Borba" and the daily Macedonian newspaper "Vecer". He is the founder and editor of several newspapers and magazines, such as Sportska revija and Backi sport.

In 2011, he founded the non-governmental organization "PODIUM" and he is currently editor-in-chief of Novi Radio Sombor. He writes songs and poetry. He has spent his life supporting young people in journalism as well as in other fields such as sports, music, art, and science. His team spirit and dynamism and access to Serbia media will be an invaluable help for the Raymond Nicolet Trust to attract donors and expand our base of followers and supporters.

 

TIJANA TOPALOVIC

Tijana was born in Belgrade, Serbia, and is currently a student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences. She graduated from the Sixth Grammar School in Belgrade. She has always loved charity work and when she was 10 years old, with her friends she came up with and organized a charity fair at the school Veljko Dugosevic; this was the first one, and this fair is still taking place every year at the school. She is passionate about music and has played the violin for 6 years. She enjoys singing and playing the guitar as well.

She participated in the InnoSchool Project whose goal is to help students develop social entrepreneurship skills. She also took part in an Entrepreneurship project for young adults. Her expertise in event management will be very valuable to the RNT.

 

Aleksandar Maksim Popovic

Aleksandar was born in 1965 in Obrenovac Serbia, where he finished primary and secondary school. An economist by profession (Faculty of Economics in Belgrade), he is employed as a librarian in the Public Library "Vlada Aksentijevic" Obrenovac, where he works as a program associate, moderator of literary evenings and editor of the library's publishing activities. He participated in the creation and implementation of many projects with non-governmental organizations "What do you want!", "Power of Optimism", "Organization” in Obrenovac and Belgrade.

He worked on the creation and implementation of cultural policy programs and projects at the local community level. He writes short stories, dramatic texts, essays, and reviews and is published in literary magazines, almanacs and newspapers (Photo by Ljuba Maricic).

 

Ljubica Bila

Ljubica was born in Belgrade. She is employed in the government service, in the Agency for Business Registers. Currently engaged in jobs within the register of pledge rights on movable property, financial leasing and court injunctions. Since she has always been interested in marketing, she obtained a Master's degree in marketing and trade from Singidunum University, Belgrade. As a child she went to an Italian school in Rome, Italy, from where she developed a love for foreign languages, which resulted in her speaking and using four foreign languages in addition to her native Serbian.

She is using her knowledge to teach children and help them in their studies giving them classes. Her passion is art history, the study of ancient records and traditions, as well as IT industry, cyber security.

 

VLADIMIR PUVACA

Vladimir is a professor of Economics (specializing in entrepreneurship management) at the ITHS - Information Technology High School in Belgrade. He was born in 1994 in Sombor, Serbia, and obtained a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Economics in Osijek (Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Croatia). During his career, he participated in many projects in NGO organizations as a project manager and educator where he worked on improving the social environment for young people in Serbia. He is very passionate about educating young people, especially those in marginalized groups.

 

BOJAN SIMON

Bojan was born in 1982 in Subotica, Serbia. Although he currently works in construction, his true passion has always been connected to Astrology. In 2017, he completed his education in Astrology, which allowed him to dive deeper into the subject and gain a deeper understanding of its intricacies. Since then, Bojan has dedicated himself to helping numerous individuals through his astrological expertise. His genuine desire to assist others has earned him a reputation as a trusted astrologer within his community.

Beyond his astrological pursuits, Bojan also nurtures a passion for reading and writing. He understands the power of words and the ability they have to inspire and transform lives. Drawing upon his astrological wisdom and personal experiences, Bojan has channelled his creativity into writing. He has already authored two insightful books in the field of astrology and spirituality, aiming to share his knowledge and offer a fresh perspective to his readers.

 

VALENTINA SIMON

Valentina's childhood was enriched by growing up in Subotica, Serbia, in a bilingual home. Her love for music blossomed at a young age, and as she grew older, her passion for singing led her to grace stages across Central Europe. Her thirst for knowledge and determination led her to pursue higher education at Singidunum University in Belgrade, where she obtained a degree in Economics, specializing in hospitality management. This unique combination of business acumen and artistic talent provided her with a well-rounded foundation for entrepreneurial endeavors.

In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Valentina found solace in photography, a passion project that allowed her to capture and express the beauty she saw in the world.

ivan katancic

Ivan has carried out his vocational studies in Subotica in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. He is currently working as an outside associate professor at the local Medical High School teaching human nutrition and bromatology. He is also currently doing his Masters degree in Food Technology. He regularly volunteers at the local Red Cross Center to help students who are there on a work experience and in any other way he can. His philanthropic dynamism will be a great asset for the charity.
